Nick’s mother, Nicoletta, crashes the wedding and Sam takes her aside and “handles” her. She also bars her from attending the reception. How’d she do? Was it the right thing to keep it all from Nick until after the wedding or did he deserve to know?

Yes, Sam pulled off the amazing job of getting Nicoletta out of Nick's hair -- I applaud that!

Sam did the right thing. It is Sam and Nick's day and crazy Nicoletta didn't have any right nor an invitation to be there.

In this instance she is correct not to tell Nick. It would really hurt him knowing Nicoletta is there and it's for both of them that she did not tell him but to enjoy the day without any drama.

I agree. Telling Nick would have probably made the situation worse.

Yes, this is one time when keeping the information from Nick was the right thing to do.

I agree that not telling Nick that she has shown up was the right thing. Nicoletta has a strong hold on Nick, and he lets her have that control over him. It just is and only Nick can change that. Sam wasn't mean about it, she let her attend the wedding.

This was Sam stepping in and protecting her husband. She recognized that he will never be able to stand up to her as Nicoletta is that manipulative. If she hadn’t handled her, Nick would have caved and it would have been the Nicoletta show.

Serious points to Sam here. She handled the situation perfectly.
