I've never been to one so don't know if people wear bibs. I only know they do for Lobster festivals, but that seems more New England to me than the South. But I don't know.

This is a sponge cake with pink and yellow sections, like a checkerboard; it's held together by jam and covered by marzipan; it was named for a town in Germany.

This lovely city in Germany was destroyed in WWII, but was rebuilt to look old. I'm not the greatest at history, and I thought it was old when I first went there. Fine china is produced in Meissen, close to this city and the china is named for it (not Meissen, but the city I'm asking for).
