I can only think of Cool Hand Luke, but that's 1967.

'The Wrong Box'which has a terrific cast in which the 'Bourmouth Strangler's' body is assumed to be an uncle (Ralph Richardson). His nephews are devastated because they'll lose out on a tontine. BTW, one of the nephews collects different eggs. It's a terrific movie which I've seen. many times.

I agree, it's hilarious. I guessed it in the post right above you. Michael Caine stars. I did not remember the nephew collecting eggs. Not until you highlighted it was the nephew.
