The intro to Phillips creeped me out, not sure why; but learning that any FBI agent has a file on me would surely disturb me!
I was upset that Phillips used Jordan's friendship with Allison to get her to the cyber facility. I hated that the FBI used Noah or Noah agreed to the ruse. I was happier when I realized that Liam was involved.Anyone would be concerned if the FBI had a file on them. This file creation seemed like a J. Edgar method of intimidation still operating behind close doors.
They tested Allison to prove she isn't as good as Liam and others believe. Really? A little woman who is as good as all the cybermen -- not possible in Phillips's eyes.
Agreed. I was also disturbed by the way they fooled her to get her there to "test" her. Really?? Would they have used the same tactics with a man? I doubt it. I wavered on Phillips most of the book - good guy? bad guy? I was happy in the end to find he's one of the good guys even if he was skeptical in the abilities of women.
I wasn't surprised Allison freaked when she found the FBI had a file on her, I would freak too. She knows she had broken enough laws to put her away for a long time and even though she hid her tracks there is always the chance they could have found something. They never actually go around to giving Allison their test. she saw a real situation in real time and solved it while all the men looked on.
I'd be upset to learn that the FBI had a file on me...especially if I've been hacking into banks and personal computers in my spare time.
