message 106: by Morgan (new)

Morgan Johnson (bookedpanda) | 2 comments If I'm eating by myself I'll audiobook or use a reading app. Physical books are a no go, I'm too clumsy for that risk.

message 107: by Thomas (new)

Thomas Franks Salty snacks a good book are a great pair (except for Cheetos)

message 108: by Shell-A-Rella (new)

Shell-A-Rella | 14 comments I often read when on a lunch break or if I am out dining alone.

John Mackey | 67 comments Salma wrote: "no, I'm scared of dripping food onto my book so I don't"

That is why I use a kindle. They are light weight, you can carry multiple books at once, and can wipe them off unlike the paper books.

message 110: by Gypsy (new)

Gypsy (ignited_red_queen) | 25 comments if it's a weekend I am trying to relax, I'll have some snacks and a beer while I read. :)

message 111: by becs (new)

becs | 178 comments i physically cannot do it LOL!! i simply cant eat and read, all my brain power and attention goes to reading as well as just struggling to hold my book and food at the same time. so definitely not

message 112: by PurpleLadi (new)

PurpleLadi Yes, but only for dining alone.

message 113: by Canette (new)

Canette Arille (canettearillebooks) Sometimes. But only one hand :-D . Second is for the book
:-D

message 114: by PinkPanthress (new)

PinkPanthress | 19 comments I do often read while eating.
I use my right hand for the food only, so my left is free to turn the pages. Whether they're digital or paper.
I never, ever spilled anything on my books up until now. *knocks on wood* 🧿

But to be honest, it's not healthy to eat while watching tv, read, etc… so maybe I should stop doing that. :D

message 115: by Tarynla☾ (new)

Tarynla☾ | 80 comments I can’t eat and read simultaneously. I get distracted easily and I won’t eat or it’ll take me forever to finish a page.

message 116: by Marwan (new)

Marwan | 12 comments Only drinks! definitely no food

message 117: by T. (new)

T. Neoma | 23 comments Every time I attempt this it's because my book is holding me captive. But I can't seem to keep the book from flopping closed or dropping food all over me. I loose focus and grow annoyed.

message 118: by Rew (new)

Rew (rewsalem) | 109 comments yeah sometimes but can't fully focus while im eating

message 125: by Sonya (new)

Sonya (sonyaisprobablyreading) | 9 comments It depends on the food I am eating! If I can do it without making a mess then yes, but if it’s going to my book in high risk of a splash zone then no lol

message 126: by Carmen (new)

Carmen DaVinleam (carmendavinleam) | 2 comments Physical book, no. Kindle or on my phone, yes. lol

message 127: by Erica (new)

Erica Robbin (ericarobbin) | 82 comments Depends.

Popcorn always sounds like a good munching snack, yet I don't want to risk getting the pages buttery, so I reserve for digital usually. Beef jerky is a good one.

Coffee, hot chocolate, or wine is always nice.

I do find myself wanting what I read about, found in these cozy romance books that take place around bakeries and such, becomes a must have.

John Mackey | 67 comments Julie wrote: "Every chance I get! I actually prefer to eat alone so that I can read without feeling like I’m being rude."

I can relate to that there as that is the way for which I am and one of the reasons for which I prefer my tablet over paper books.

message 134: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Stretton | 23 comments I actually don't eat while I read but i mostly drink tea or some sort of alcohol

Artemis~Ebonie (Inactive) | 65 comments Depends if it's my book sure it doesn't matter but I am careful. If it's a friends or a library book that thing is like a child no harm will come it's way especially if it's my friends.
