I think this was overly-difficult since Jill didn't insert the colon. The book is a title and subtitle. I thought we had to insert the colons and other punctuation, but I don't know. Barbara, can you clear that up, please?

Barbara, since this is your group, and you also play, will you give us some guidance here? Thank you.

Thanks, Jill. I only do books I've read, but I've read some really strange books since I like books that are out of the ordinary and not mainstream. So some of my titles can seem strange, but they aren't impossible to figure out.
I don't care which way we go. A long title can keep the game going longer, and some people like that. After all, after twenty-six calls, the title will be filled out! LOL That can be more fun to a lot of people. I'm kind of leaning that way myself.
I read a lot of books in Italian since I am Italian, but I'm going to stick to English titles. I think that one's a given. I'm not going to put I PROMESSI SPOSI up there even if most of the players would recognize it. I don't think it has to be something we've read or own, though. I think it just has to be able to be figured out.
So, I'm actually leaning toward the long titles, or anything goes as long as it's within reason, and no designation of fiction or non-fiction. We can figure that out after we have a few words. So, that's how I'm leaning, but I'll go with what the others want, too.
It's a game. Not the SAT. So, I think the primary concern is to have fun with it.
I guess we should just proceed since Barbara never expressed concern over anything. We're all getting along fine, too. I just didn't want to be spoiling anyone's fun, but no one's complaining. I'm fine with things as they are as long as we confine ourselves to English. LOL

(Not as hard as it might look, lots of short words and repeated letters)
These are my thoughts:
Any title (in English) is acceptable. It doesn't have to be a book you've read or a book you're reading. If you want to have fun with cuckoo titles, have at it. 🙂
Please do include colons or apostrophes or whatever punctuation is in the title.
I don't think there's such a thing as a title that's too long, or a title chosen to stump people. Eventually, when enough letters are guessed, the title becomes clear (as Kiki mentions above).
And have fun. I think this is a very entertaining game.
