Good luck with your reading challenge! I always think the books your pick up throughout the years are fascinating, so I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll be reading in 2024 :) Happy reading!

Thanks Lisa, I hope I will not disappoint you this year
I am well ahead of my schedule with 6 alreadyNotably one was really easy but a book it was.
I have compepleted the NL one
Two books;
Klimaatcantate Not that good, but it is because of a friendship that i read it.
Ei, foetus, baby Was shocking in the historical context of pregnancy and the men that think they know more about what is good for women than we do do. My contempt of anything religious has grown
I finalised the fascinating trilogy about the Tribe
The Disappearance of Ember CrowThe Foretelling of Georgie Spider
I love this series
Added another Murderbot
Network Effect
And some stuff for work :-)
Next up:
NZ and UK I think
Blasted my schedule out of the water.I said 15 I am on 18 alreadyFor the most part enjoyable though I had some real wadders as well
My NZ book was The Bookseller at the End of the World Loved it and added Manupouri to my places to visit on my next NZ trip
My UK choice is Laura Bates' Sisters of Sword and Shadow
And in German I went for Liebes Kind which I had seen on Netflix
I re-read Asimov's Foundation trilogy and again loved it though it has dated somewhat.
Congratulations on having surpassed your goal for the year already! 🥳 May you still discover many more before the end of the year. Happy reading!
It has been a good book year at least in quantity Not always in qualityI discovered the fun and not fun of bookclubs and as a resutl a number of new genres and writers
I think again a large variety of books and as a result a big list of books
Exokiwi wrote: "It has been a good book year at least in quantity Not always in quality... "Same. It seems to have been a theme for 2024. I've talked to a few people who have said the same thing. I also think, in terms of new releases at least, it was a very underwhelming year.
Hopefully 2025 will be better! 😊
Happy New Year!
