please delete all books with the title "0812 9454 5456" because they are spam about illegal abortion.
You are a librarian yourself, any reason you don't do it yourself? We are using the same tools you are. Please read before posting.
Spam should be reported to GR Support. If you can't flag it, please use the contact page: https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta...

Does that actually work? I've reported someone leaving 1 star ratings with no review on multiple books (only 1 is mine) at a rate of several per minute and not a peep. They rated a book I'm not even finished writing and I've now reported them twice.
I asked if reporting worked. Do people not have to tools to share their experiences? Where can users discuss these issues? I am really frustrated because Goodreads has decided to allow users to abuse the site and I can't understand what possible reason there would be not to stop this. To answer my own question reporting does not work. They told me pre-release reviews are allowed and ignored everything else I said. This user can continue to 1 star rate books they haven't read to their heart's content. And no I haven't released ARCs etc. The book is literally still being written.
Sencha, we understand and share your frustration. However, it's essential to clarify two crucial points:1. As volunteer librarians, we specialize in assisting with the addition of books, editions, and maintaining accurate book records within strict guidelines. Unfortunately, we cannot address issues related to reviews or delete spam. Voicing frustration with us on these matters is not productive.
2. Additionally, we kindly ask you to read the sticky post before posting. This folder is specifically for requests that cannot be handled by Goodreads Librarians and require the tools of a Goodreads Superlibrarian. The current discussion does not align with the intended purpose of this folder. You may find more suitable assistance in the "Questions" folder.
Having stated the above, please refer back to point #1. The only effective (or ineffective) solution for your request is to contact support. We are as helpless as you are.
I'm sorry - I searched for this topic and it brought up this thread. I did not notice which folder it was in. I then responded to the suggestion to contact support to ask if doing so would be effective. I had no expectation that a librarian could fix this problem, but was following the flow of the conversation. I have contacted support to no avail. That said, I think it may be useful for people to know that support may not be helpful in all circumstances. The current guidelines do not appear to address rating abuse unless it is multiple ratings on the same book. Anyway, thanks.
