Diane | 957 comments Jillian, I just noticed you're from Michigan -- were you devastated by the Detroit Lions losing on Sunday? I was so hoping they would win!

OOps, just looked at the rules and found the answer, which is NO.

No sorry. But you can take books from one month to the next whe the challenge started.

Nevermind, we don't need blue. =)

Not too into sports and I know I should be rooting for the Lions but I was rooting for the 49ers so not too heartbroken.

F. | 134 comments I have just started too, even though it is Feb 2 here, I couldn't start till 10pm which is too late and anyway I was at bridge - surprise, surprise!!

My first 2 books are those that I can't renew at the library, not the 2 I have already booked.

The Rose Code by Kate Quinn by Kate Quinn
Standalone, Yellow cover?, Osla, Philip (Prince), Title, Beth Finch.

An Unexpected Peril (Veronica Speedwell, #6) by Deanna Raybourn by Deanna Raybourn
Blue? cover #6 in series, Veronica Speedwell

Skye Blue ☆*~゚ლ(´ڡ`ლ)~*☆ (surendraskye) | 251 comments My house is doing something we never thought we would do.
Root for the niners.

Raiders household, so that's a no no.

I guess there is a first time for everything.

Diane | 957 comments Yeah, it's just so hard to cheer for Mahomes isn't it? Even though he's likely gonna win. Sigh. I was really hoping Buffalo would take him out.

message 69: by Helke (new)

I put them in where I found a hole, feel free to move them. Should finish An Unexpected Peril tonight.
Do you want me to post completed as soon as I finish or wait till I have a few completed?

Do whatever you want and feel works best for you.

message 73: by Gustaf (new)

Gustaf | 553 comments I did some clean up on the SS and the way it looks now is the way we'd prefer it to look. But if it doesn't work for you I'll be there to clean it up since I pretty much live on the SS during this challenge lol.

Anyway here are some notes to make it easier for everyone.

*Under the box explaining the points system there's another box with everyone's name, cards claimed, completed and left. The card claims will automatically be filled when you write the same name as the one under name. Usually it's just your first name.

*When you have completed a book and posted your completion post here, mark the line bright yellow. That way it's easy for me and Helke to see which books are finished and needs to be transferred from our private SS to our official SS. Especially later in the month when the SS is crowded it helps a lot.

*We might move things around if we find out a way that would make a better fit of your books.

But most of all, have fun!

Diane | 957 comments Helke wrote: "Why can't you cheer for Mahomes? Give me some insight please."

He's actually an amazing athlete and has taken his team well into the playoffs ever since his rookie year, 6 years ago. This will be his 4th appearance in the Superbowl in those 6 years, and he already has 2 wins. So, he is awesome to watch, but you just start to feel like it would be nice to see somebody else have a chance

Kinda like Tom Brady. Before he retired all you heard was Tom Brady. Don't get me wrong, when he was on my fantasy team it was a different story...but I only had him on my team early in his career.

I was disappointed this year. The whole family is Raiders fans. And after they did Derek Carr dirty I actually rooted for the Saints. Really wish he had kicked some butt. I want him to do well. Maybe Gruden will come whip them into shape this year.

You have the choice to use either.
