1. My relatives were killed in Nazi camps.
2. My mother was persecuted because of her religion.
3. I feel a connection to those who perished.
4. There are few, if any, love stories about the Holocaust.
5. It is an opportunity to teach young people about the dangers of genocide.

btw, i got you a TON of rocks from second beach. i really wanted to go to first beach, but we couldnt find a way down.


geoff - what happened? basically we traveled up and down the peninsula, visiting all the places that were mentioned in the books.

I just put Jacob's Courage on my to-read list and will probably be ordering it next week. Hope all is well!
