The book you like most discussion
what’s your favorite book of the year? +*:ꔫ:*

I read The Fifth Season and The Obelisk Gate earlier this year and absolutely adored them! I'm holding off on reading the last book because I don't want to end the story yet. The Fifth Season was my absolute favorite book this year.

2. Anatomy (Dana Schwartz)
3. Flowers for Algernon (Daniel Keyes)

In any case one of these two ;-)

It's a thriller/suspense/mystery book and is really very good. It keeps you hooked till the end.

The September House - Carissa Orlando (Horror)
Black Sheep - Rachel Harrison (Horror)
The Mysterious Case of the Alperton Angels - Janice Hallett (Mystery) Out 1/23/24.

This is on my TBR list. Got the hardcover version during Target's book sale for like $8. Excited to read it.

These days I'm finding current American literature not quite up to the soulfulness and rigor of literature in other languages, especially by Isabel Allende, originally in Spanish (just finished The Wind Knows My Name), The Beartown Trilogy by Fredrik Backman, translated from Swedish, and Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead by Olga Tokarczuk, from Polish (the title quotes a line from a poem by William Blake).
