Tawnya | 4045 comments This is a rather long merge request. I apologize. Once I got started I realized just how large this job was. I had never had a book that was liked by so many people. To have over 36,000 times for just one edition! and over 15 editions that had in the hundreds as well as a few with thousands was cool. This is just for the English editions. I love elephants and follow another trust.
I separated all of the books and then combined the ones that need merging. I’ll go back in and remerge everything when you guys are through.

These two didn’t have photos, nor any information, and yet 25 and 11 people saved them INSTEAD of one of the multiple editions.

How the bottom one can be a kindle without an ASIN?

These are the same book. It looks like someone took a photo of the one cover using a purple filter:

and then this one has the same cover as those two, but with no information:

David Raz (davidraz) | 12846 comments In the future, when you have multiple requests, number them so we could reference them easily. About the requests themselves, I tried to explain what was wrong with each request and hopefully you find this useful.

1. These were two Kindle editions with different ASINs, so they don't need merging. On closer inspection, one of them was in fact not a Kindle but an ebook, so I corrected the format after verifying that indeed this is an ebook ISBN. I then recombined the two editions with the primary work.

2. These were two Audio CDs with different ISBNs, so they don't need merging. I recombined the two editions with the primary work.

3. These were two empty editions, so they don't need to be merged with each other, they need to be merged with the default edition. I recombined them with the primary work and then merged them with the default edition.

4. There used to be a librarian note saying the Kindle without ASIN is an ACE of ASIN B0050Q5WYS but you removed it. I have no reason to believe this is anything but an ACE, so I restored the ACE message and recombined the two editions with the primary work. If you have good reason to believe this is not an ACE, please explain.

5. Merge done and recombined.

6. The first edition had an invalid ISBN, so I merged it with the second one. I replaced the purple cover with the Amazon cover - a better quality cover is always preferred if it comes from a valid source. As for the third edition, it has "Unknown Binding" format. These editions are usually merged with the most popular edition with that same cover, which is probably this Kindle. You asked to merge it with a less popular Hardcover. Is there any reason for that? I left it be pending your reply.

7. This paperback edition was not shelved, so you could have merged it yourself and there was no need for a superlibrarian. However, this is a paperback with an ASIN only, so it doesn't even need merging - it needs to be set as Invalid, again, something you could have done yourself. I set the status to invalid and recombined the remaining edition with the primary work.

Other than item #6 where I am waiting for your response, I recombined everything back.

Tawnya | 4045 comments I saw that there were actual editions with the "ACE", therefore I thought that marking was made in error. I figured that someone had just not seen the actual copy. I didn't change the formats, and I tried to find the cover for each format. The fact that there was indeed a Kindle edition with the cover in question is why I thought the ACE moniker was in error.
I'm sorry I messed up on the last one. I had edited it into the list after dealing with some issues. I could have sworn it had 6 likes, but I guess not. I thought the "Invalid" listing was only for items from the list. I have been primarily focused on books from before 1970, so I don't see ISBNs for the most part.
