worldcat.org says it's 228. What's the content of the pages 223-228?
It may actually be 223, there was no number on the page but it is a tiny closing chapter. After 223, through 228, is A Note on the Text and Acknowledgements.

On the site: 240
Actual number of pages: 222
Publisher does say 240 however the book does not have that many pages.
