Is it ok if I read the Six or Crows duology and then read the Shadow and Bone series?

I think it’s possible but I read shadow and bones first and it does make you understand the world better. I did like the six of crows duology more then the shadow and bones series

I started to read SoC and was very confused. I went back and read Shadow and Bone and it made much more sense and then read SoC
