Such committed readers! The longest book(s) I ever read were those that really sucked. If it's literally long in volume and the author has my attention, then it doesn't feel long at all.
I believe the three longest books I have read are as follows:I read all of these books in hardcover and then re-read them as audio books, so I will include both the page count and the audiobook read time
The Stand
Print: 1348 pages
audiobook: 48 hours
It
Print: 1168 pages
audiobook: 45 hours
Gone with the Wind
Print: 1037 pages
audiobook: 49 hours
I bolded the largest page count and time. I remember Gone with the Wind being humongous, but according to this site The Stand was longer in print.
I also have on my shelf The Complete Fiction of H.P. Lovecraft with an audiobook time of 52 hours, I am waiting to read. soon

Going in with the word count! I didn't even think of that!
pffft this must be the Zodiac Academy books and After sieries, some had over 1000 pages per book and I loved ityou do get authors that can hold a story for that long!

Its not a machine. There is a formula you use
1. Take a random page and count the number of words in a random line going across the page. And yes I said a line not a sentence.
2. Count the number of lines on a page.
3. Do the math: the numer of words per line times the number of lines. This gives you the word count on the average page. Most MANUSCRIPTS from authors have a 250 word per page when double spaced.
4. Then just multiply that words per page times the number of pages. Authors have to do this on their own so they can submit work to publishers that fit the word count requirements.
I’m reading diplomacy by Kissinger, I think it’s by far the longest one I’ve ever embarked on, hitherto. There was The laws of human nature by Robert green, that comes second, I guess. Three volumes of das kapital, collectively it comprises almost if 1400 pages.
1) Das Kapital
2) Diplomacy
"Forever Amber" by Kathleen Winsor. It isn't the longest per page count but it took forever to read. One person I knew loved it but I thought I'd never finish it and I keep going to find out the ending, only it was ongoing like, "Gone With The Wind".Then I read her story, "Jacintha"...and went to hell.
Les Miserables, The Count of Monte Cristo, several of the Outlander books... I'm going to attempt Dune this year. but that's a little shorter than some of the others I listed.

I read this almost 50 years ago! Oh, oh, guess that makes me older than 50. 😝

Your description sounds intriguing and if you have reviewed it, I would be interested in reading it. Please and thank you.
No, it's been years since I've read it and I'd have to re-read it to give a detailed and balanced review. I can't go through that again, I barely made it intact once. ;) Unless you meant the comment for Deborah.
NIV, Life Application Study Bible, Third Edition …2496 pages… it took about 4 months to complete. Anna Karenina by Tolstoy 1174 pages and The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett 1104 pages.
last year it was Crescent City at a little over 800 pages. I can't remember the actual longest book I've ever read, though.
To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher PaoliniPrint: 880 pages
audiobook: 33 hours
That's my most recent longest read. It is possible I might have read a longer one in high school or middle school, but it's hard to remember that far back lol
I do have It by Stephen King on my list for this year, so I'm sure the longest will be updated before too long haha
Napoleon : A life by Andrew Roberts. Basically an in-depth biography of Napoleon life with history attached to it.
long books have nothing on fanfiction. so it probably Choices by Messermoon, or All The Young Dudes. Manacled was also very long.
p I think these three books are all around the same length of course there's Anna Karenina Atlas shrugged and war and Peace I think they're all around 1100 to 1300 pages I have watched a documentary called in the realms of the unreal about a book that was I think 15,000 pages great documentary don't know how you would get your hands on that book but the documentary I highly suggest. and out of the three books that are the longest I've read that I know of I like Atlas shrugged a lot.
