The knight. Landon was on the back of the dark wood horse head. The knight! They were hopping a herkyjerky course away from the king. Landon was saved! Tears moistened his eyes. He would never again take it for granted that he was three-dimensional. But why had the knight saved him? Was there a reason? It hardly mattered. Landon was alive. The least he could do was thank his rescuer. But speaking between the lurching jumps would be challenging. They were moving so quickly.
There's a Grandpa Karl who talks a lot about a historical fisherman character named Bart. :)
