Wow normally i'm pretty good at these...people can describe a cover of the book 10 years ago and i can tell u what it was...that said. i'm stumped lol. I don't think it is but i'm throwing this out there while i ask, how long ago did you read this? probably not, but it wasnt A Deepness in the Sky by Vernor Vinge, was it? I don't think that's got the assassin you describe in it, but i tend to forget books plots as soon as I read them (my memory is in the weird details, don't ask ;P)

First time posting here. There's a book that I've read in the past or rather a novella but for the life of me I can't find it again.
It's a story about a city of people who are like spiders. The royal men spin the silk, women are not able to spin silk.
There's an assassin with either lavender hair or eyes who is a traveler. She has her "sister" with her who is in fact her daughter, whose father is the Prince of these people.
It's kind of a old-world time frame.
That's pretty much all I can remember. no author or title is popping out. I've gone through my kindle and shelves but can't find it anywhere.
It isn't Jennifer Estep and Spider's Bite. It also isn't Silk by Michelle M. Pillow.
Can anyone help me please?
