Michele | 1 comments I can't name just one. The Covenant of Water, The Orientalist, and The Books of Jacob come to mind.

It was a person in our group who mentioned The Orientalist, and when I looked it up, as I always do when I see a strong positive recommendation, I knew it was one I'd like. It is a mystery and a history at the same time, describing in wonderfully colorful prose the story of a world-class writer and impersonator, revealing a life that may have been his greatest achievement, even though he ultimately missed his shot in the most costly way.

I wish I had been able to find the original post. I thought it would be in her 2023 100 prompt challenge thread, but I couldn't find it. Anyway, I want to thank her for taking the time to post.
