Gayle | 111 comments I finished listening to The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See - 3.5*.

Mostly interesting story about friendship in a Korean culture of women divers on a small island. Couldn't always connect with the characters and some unexpected but brief violence due to war.

Gayle | 111 comments I finished reading Brave Companions: Portraits in History by David McCullough - 3.5*.

Interesting collection of essays about people or places that I mostly didn't know about. Some more compelling than others but McCullough's enthusiasm for history comes through his writing.

PattyMacDotComma | 813 comments I am a great fan of Mick Herron's Slough House series but didn't realise that The Secret Hours was so wonderfully connected to it. Loved seeing some old favourites, back in the day in Berlin.

Carolyn | 2078 comments I thought I would enjoy this mix of paranormal, horror and mystery by a popular author but it just didn't work for me. However, I may be an outlier as it has mostly 5★ reviews.

Her Lost Soul (Detective Maria Miller #2) by Helen Phifer Her Lost Soul by Helen Phifer
