They were not my favorite couple. for a smart man who had to be able to read people pretty well, Aiden really came of as totally clueless in his dealings with Cordie. Cordie really was stunned by her dad's confession and looks at Aiden and believes he will never come to care for her.
Anita, I had not juxtaposed her dad's lifelong belief that his wife might someday return to him with Cordie's "lifelong" crush on Aiden.That helps explain the timing of her resolution to forget about him romantically, not that it worked :-)
I agree. Cordie saw how her father suffered waiting for his wife to return. She didn't want to do the same thing with Aiden.
I agree. Cordie has just learned the truth about her mother and her abandonment of her husband and child. I think she vows then and there to never allow anyone close enough to her that they would hold enough power to destroy her if they left.
