Lorena (yaxchi) | 14 comments I just wanted to encourage authors and readers in general to be more curious about each other and post more "Ask the Author" questions. I like finding out about other writers, and like it when other readers and authors want to know more about me. It helps add interest to our author pages, and gives us something to think about. So I propose that we trade questions with each other in this group. If you get a question from me or anyone else, return the favor -- and I will do the same.

Let's see how it works! Just post a reply here if you would like a question. Ready? GO!

C.J. Heath (CJHeath) I'm with you! I'm fine at answering... not so hot at asking ;-)

Michael Cargill (michaelcargill) | 217 comments Lorena: did you know that Hair Suit is 136 pages long and was
published in 1987...?

Victoria: how's 'tings? Did you listen to the rugby at the weekend?

Hi Michael,

I don't follow the rugby. I'm not very good at being your typical Welsh person: I don't drink, and I don't like rugby, LOL!

The real evidence of the Welsh in me is in the fact I consider sheep being everywhere to be normal, the fact I don't consider rain a reason to stay home, and the fact I love music and poetry (that last I add because I had a keyring once that said "to be born Welsh is to be born; not with a silver spoon in your mouth, but with a song in your heart, and poetry in your soul" and I like the quote).

I submitted questions to you via your "ask the author" thing on your author pages.

Jim Vuksic | 1227 comments Anyone is welcome to post a question in the Ask the Author portion of my Goodreads author profile. Each will receive a timely response. If the question pertains to a subject with which I am not familiar, I promise to research it and post a knowledgeable answer from someone who is.

Ditto!

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 2898 comments Jim:

I asked you a couple of questions. Some of them might have come through a couple of times, because I had a bit of an internet issue, and wasn't sure if they'd gone through or not. So, if you have duplicate - or almost duplicate - questions from me, feel free to delete/ignore the extras.

Yes. I don't think members without an authors page can receive questions.

Jim Vuksic | 1227 comments For those who may not be aware of the restriction, the Goodreads staff limits questions submitted to an author's Ask the Author portion of their profile to ten per day. Once that limit is reached, a statement is automatically posted, announcing the restriction and the reason, which is to provide the author sufficient time to become aware of and respond to all questions.
