date with a book???

im unfortunately not much of a reader myself but i also acknowledge how much a lot of my family TRULY LOVES it so i wanted to make them a secret "date with a book" bundle game that they get to pick from on christmas. I will buy about 14 books, wrap them in brown paper, write tiny adjectives or descriptions on the front for hints, maybe the genre, and let them pick based on what i describe :)

so i need your best of the best books with brief explanations please!!!
