Claire | 2 comments When you reached a certain age you took a test to see how long you would live for and society was based on this. So those with short life span were deemed worthless to society and were outcasts. Those with long life expectancy had all the best jobs etc as they would benefit society for longer.
This book was written as it would be part of a series, I likely read it through kindle unlimited and can't for the life of me remember the name.
I think the protaganist was female, she took the test and had a short life expectancy and was basically an outcast. Turned out that when people disappear they're being killed before their official date of death. I think she runs away with a love interest and that is where the story ends.

Scott Sounds vaguely familiar; I think it might have been a sponsored "popular" book; I don't typically read those because just because other people drool over a book doesn't mean I will.

Would this help?

Claire | 2 comments Thank you, that link was really helpful, if only to make me realise it wasn't read via kindle unlimited! I will keep searching though!

Nwalshe | 1 comments Sounds a bit like Vita Aeterna by Jay Allen Storey. It is on Kindle Unlimited and is part of a series but I might be wrong.
