I read this book probably in 2011, It was a fiction book about this young boy who entered a competition where he had to build a rocket. He entered in order to win the big cash prize to help save his dad from bankruptcy. There was one point in the book where bailiffs came and took a bunch of stuff from their house. The book, I remember maybe took place during the space race or the kid was very fascinated by the space race between the US and the Soviet Union. The book included lots of illustrations of the boys house and blueprints of his rockets.
