Xee (xeey) | 23 comments And Im finished.
It was a sweet charming little read. My first by this author and now l want to read more by her. I do wish there was more to Hattie's bravery shown rather then told but that's a minor quibble..

Cath | 370 comments I had not read Virginia Heath before and unfortunately this one did not work for me. But I'm glad for the opportunity to have read a new (to me) author, and I'll try another book by this author later on.

Mariana | 2692 comments I'm starting this one next.

Jan (jan130) | 2667 comments I might try this one too. I don't think I've read this author before either.

Lauren | 1370 comments I just started reading. This is a first time author for me too🤞

Lauren | 1370 comments I just finished and liked this book! It was just a fun read. However, I do feel that the end was too rushed and it could have used an epilogue. Other than that I enjoyed the story

Mariana | 2692 comments The name Virginia Heath sounded familiar, I think because I had a couple of her books on my TBR list. She has written so many, but this my first to read. I really liked it.

Like Xeey, I would like to read more by the author.

Lauren, I agree with you too. After the slow build up and reasonable passage of time for most of the story, the end was too rushed. They jumped some milestones. I also wanted an epilogue.

Lauren | 1370 comments I think I've been spoiled with epilogues. I hate when a book doesn't have one.

Jan (jan130) | 2667 comments I read the kindle sample of this book, but couldn't get hooked, so I've decided not to read it this month. Hope others who do read it enjoy.

I am skipping all BOTM this month - cannot get the Balogh here in Australia and the other two did not grab me. I am looking forward to next month
