{Personality} Jaime, the introverted sass master. She always has a sly smirk and a smart-ass remark ready for anyone who threatens her. She can be a tad narcissistic but only where it's needed. She thinks of herself as a certified badass. In fact, she seems to fit in better in the zombie apocalypse. She can actually kill her bullies without being arrested or feeling the tiniest bit of remorse. She's not too good with explaining her feelings and that might make her come off as cold and uncaring. She isn't very sensitive to insults or physical pain (unless its something serious). She doesn't have a filter and is often brutally honest. Her bluntness may offend some, but she doesn't mean to hurt anyone (unless she does) and is oblivious that what she had said was emotionally harmful. She's doesn't have very good people skills, but it doesn't bother her.
History Jaime wasn't who you'd think she'd be. She wasn't just some pretty face that gossiped and fawned over boys. She didn't go to Starbucks in her fuzzy boots (I seriously have no idea what they're called) and post overly filtered selfies. Jaime was a tech nerd, an engineer. Most of her spare time was filled up with her Robotics Club meetings. There was no elected club leader, but they all knew Jaime was truly passionate about her work. If Jaime wasn't in the Robotics room she was cooped up in her room, inhaling pizza and drowning in Mountain Dew Code Red. She spent half of her free time on WoW playing with some of her closest friends, and the other half working on her own robots.
Jaime's family life was a mostly ordinary one. She didn't have any siblings and was raised by her mom. Her father died when she was two while over seas and her mom never remarried. Jaime asked about him (her dad)often as a child, her mother always got the same bright smile and far away look in her eyes, as if she could see him standing just a few feet away ready to embrace them. She told Jaime of how great he was, how handsome he was. "What a charmer!" Her mother would giggle. It seemed as if the topic of him made her happy, but Jaime could have sworn she could hear her mothers hushed sobs when she was tucked into bed. As Jaime grew older she asked less and less, and her mother grew sadder and sadder. One day Jaime found dead squirrel laying at the corner of her drive way. She approached it and found four baby squirrels (old enough to have some fur) curled around her. She inspected the unusual scene and found that three of the baby squirrels had passed, leaving one scared, hungry and alone. We all know what happens next.
Three years have passed since then, and Titan the Southern Fox Squirrel is a happy family pet and Jamie's mom's therapy animal. The family couldn't have been happier.
That was until people started eating each other. Jaime was one of the unluckier ones. Meaning she didn't find out about it through T.V. or a friend, it had keys to her house. Jaime's mom worked as a nurse in the nearest hospital. The night before people actually found out about the outbreak was the night Jaime's mother had some "crazy patient" who was "foaming at the mouth" and "secreting black sludge from the mouth" left a nasty bite wound on her forearm. She didn't know she was infected, she didn't even know what "infected" meant. She would have never put her daughter in danger if she did.
Jaime's mother died at the door steps. Then she got back up and walked on in. Titan was the first to know. He sensed something was wrong and flung himself at Jamie's face to grasp her attention. She tried to brush the squirrel off and return to her game but he was persistent. Thinking that he was just hungry Jamie placed him on her shoulder and left her room, only to find her mom gobbling down the raw meat Jamie was trying to thaw out.
"Mum! What the hell are you doing you nut!?" Jaime had exclaimed. Her sickly mother slowly raised her head in Jaime's direction before releasing a blood-curdling screech. Her mother was upon her in seconds. Jaime dodged her mother's first attack with her own shriek. "Mum!" Jaime cried, grabbing the lamp beside her. "What's wrong?!" Her mother attacked her again, eyes glossed over and yellow. Jaime somehow managed to the lamp in between her mothers teeth before rolling her off and locking herself in her room.
Then she remembered Titan. She heard his shrill cry and screamed for him before sending her body into action. She grabbed the nearest object that she could defend herself with: a real sword replicating Link's weapon in the Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess.
She rushed out there, tears running down her cheeks. Her mother was reaching for Titan who sat on the top of a door frame. Her mother soon turned her attention away from the squirrel and onto the bigger piece of meat. This would be the last encounter between the two. As Jaime's mother leaped at her Jaime flung the sword and prepared for death. The sword met with her mother's face, right through the eye and into the brain.
Jaime didn't stick around after that. The shaking girl grabbed Titan and fled.
