Its more of a dystopian/post-apocalyptic with a female main character

Do you know how new the book is? Or if you caught a little bit of the author/characters name?

I honestly have no idea but if I had to guess its probably 2015-17. Although from what I remember it was a long series and probably geared toward younger teens.

Well, from what you're describing, it sounds very similar to Six of Crows, but since it is not it could be Black Wings Beating? I don't think I know anything other than those, sorry.

Maybe it's The Raven Boys? Main protag is a girl, Blue, and they've all got weird magics.
