The list choice is up to the winners. If you want to repeat a list, that is your choice.

I can see that I am going to have to make special graphic novel rules for this challenge. I don't read them so I need some input from someone who does so I can make this fair. The formula we have in the rules 400 GN pgs x 1/4 = 100 pgs.

Any thoughts on how I can incorporate Graphic Novels into this challenge? Maybe I can allow them and just multiply the page count by 1/4 to get your page count. Your adjusted page count may be lower than 100 and anything less than 100 gets 0.5 points. Above 100, see the page count chart in message 1. Would this be acceptable to everyone?

I think you might want to stick with an actual page count of 100 as a minimum. There are a lot of single issue comics / GNs that are very short, but then again, most of those won't pop up on the lists we use.

So, potentially, Heartstopper: Volume Five at 336 pages, adjusted to 84 pages, would count for .5 points.

Saga #63, at 32 pages adujsted to 8 pages, would not count.

Both of these are on the Best of 2023 list.

Ugh! I know! Jenny killed me - I was so certain we were going to end up with a tie and get four lists instead of three.

Oh well - I'm depending on the three of you to pick excellent lists!

Jenny | 2158 comments I almost forget to enter the last book I listened to. Next time, if we are tied again, I will wait. teehee

Well, I think i entered a book late too, once, and ruined a tie. I need to remember to be sneakier! :)

I'm not working today (thank goodness the holidays are over) and I am very excited to get a look at all the lists!

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 3768 comments It was a close one for all four of us this round!

Yeah, December is not a good month for reading! I don't have retail or hospitality to deal with any more, but I still hardly get anything read in the final 2 weeks of December.

Too busy spending time with my family 😁
