I'm glad it's only 6 episodes. Better for them to focus on six tight episodes that leave everyone wanting more than overstaying their welcome if it turns out that it doesn't work anymore. Just my opinion.

John (Nevets) Nevets (nevets) | 1903 comments I'm all for it if they are either one shot episodes, or a complete story told in those six episodes. Just hope there isn't an ambiguous ending to try and force a longer run. Good endings are hard to do, but the satisfaction they provide is the best sort of storytelling.

Bentley ★ Bookbastion.net I absolutely need more Scully in my life, so I'm so excited about this. I have been such a big X-Files fan since I was a teenager - so hearing how on board they all are for reprising their roles even for a limited series is awesome.

6 episodes sounds like testing the waters to see if any one cares any more. Which I'm sure they will.

I could see them committing to a longer "2nd" series if it rates well.

Clayton Stephens (claytonlstephens) | 4 comments I'll believe it when I see it, but I'm hoping it happens. They need to just forget about the last season and a half, and pick up from when it was still coherent... In fact, I'm a firm believer in do overs. For example, I'm confident JJ Abrams is gonna do a great job with Star Wars... If indeed he does, can they just take a Mulligan on episodes 1 - 3 and let him redo them?

Right now six was all they had time for given that both Duchovny and Anderson have prior commitments to other shows. Had they been able to get the whole crew together for a longer period they probably would have done a more current standard of 10-13 episodes.
