What is the perfect size for a Book Journal?

I'm buying one and need to know which size I should buy. Also, should I buy one with a leather cover or not?

A5. about the cover, it depends on what style journal you're going for, if it's aesthetic or where u highlight everything in pastel then no but if it's just chill and or darker themed then yes

A5 because it's not too big and it's portable if necessary. Plus, it's got a perfect amount of room for all that's commonly included on the pages of book journals. Speaking of, in book journals, for example, you could include: a log of what books you read(could be displayed in many different ways), reading goals, reading challenges e.g. Read the rainbow (based off of book cover) or the alphabet (based on the first letter of the book or author). Generally, it's to track ur reading progress but some include these extra things. It really depends on how much you add or are motivated to do
