A YA (standalone?) book about a young garderner's daughter who needs to save her kingdom as it is being invaded by wild magic from the forest. She has to team up with a magical fox (view spoiler)[who in reality was her childhood friend, the prince who went missing in a wild magic forest attack when they were children (hide spoiler)] and have a small adventure to a neighbouring country to find the cure for the curse. (view spoiler)[The country has no cure and basically can't help them (hide spoiler)]. All while they are being chased by the forest' magic (view spoiler)[and their reanimated childhood friend who died trying to protect the prince (hide spoiler)].

They solved the entire plot by (view spoiler)[giving the forest its crown and the book ends with the entire plot being solved reanimated corpse guard named stanley to protect a princess to give something back(view spoiler)[.
