What remember of the book (could be summery) its either opens or close in the beginning a boy & his father are playing catch (baseball? Got on roof?) when his father goes for the catch he disappears right before the boy & just reappears coming back older down the driveway with a new family & when he’s asked he says don't want to talk about it.
Came out before 2020 it could be even older book (40s-00s) then I think.
If sounds familiar please any help Thank You
