Thanks very much for posting the threads for this one and all our new buddy reads, Susan, and also for finding the links to our previous discussion.
I've started rereading and am enjoying it a lot - I have a feeling this is one of the best Nigel Strangeways books and it's a great Christmas read.

I hope to get to this sometime this month. In the US it is commonly titled The Corpse in the Snowman.

(view spoiler)
I have started this now and, except for the snowman, I remember nothing. At least the US title only spoils the first chapter.

Poet turned detective Nigel Strangeways is summoned to Easterham Manor in the depths of winter to investigate a series of strange events, which culminate in the apparent suicide of a wealthy young woman whose behaviour has scandalised the village.
As Nigel begins his investigations into the dead girl's past it soon becomes clear that someone in the manor is trying to hide something, and they will stop at nothing to keep their secrets safe.
We have previously read the entire Nigel Strangeways series: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...

We originally read this back in 2019, so it is due a Christmas revisit.
Please do not post spoilers in this thread. Thank you.
