Snowball Fight 2024Team 2: As the Snow Falls
Hi everyone! This is my first time playing Snowball, but I trust Donna to make it fun.
I'm drawing a blank on names. I'll give it some thought.
Hi Team!Possible team names: my mind went to soap operas for some reason
One snow fight to win
As the snow falls
To Read and to Throw
Hi every I'm here! As the Snow Falls works for me. I've not played this game before either so will have to see how it goes.
For those of you that haven't played before (and a refresher for the rest of you)
You may read anything that you want for this challenge (must fit the challenge rules). It all works. However, it doesn't mean you automatically get points. You only get points if you hit someone. Choose your target when you enter your book and the snowball wheel will decide if it hits the target or not. Bonus tasks are not required but are guaranteed points. You may read for them as many times as you want. There are also Buddy read & challenge (if your book is used in another challenge) bonus points. Rack those up because they are freebies.

Mine are:Die Hüterin, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Aschamdon. Those are the ones I still need to read from my 23 books in 2023 list ^^''
For anyone looking for bonus points, I'm addicted to Listopia Madness. It's a recurring individual, one month challenge based on books from specified lists and page points.Several of us on this team are already playing - come join us!
Don't forget to choose a target in column J when entering your books. You can't hit someone if you don't choose anyone, Christene Paula. LOL! For this book, I chose myself but please choose someone next time.
I'm reading West with Giraffes, A Christmas Carol, The Leopard, Excellent Women, The Last Devil to Die, The Valley of Horses and The Idiot Girls' Action-Adventure Club: True Tales from a Magnificent and Clumsy Life.
I just outed the biggest readers on both teams over in the arena. You're welcome ; )
Let's see those snowballs fly now. Don't be shy, pick a target!

Hi all I'm here. Had an incredibly busy day with no reading time but I'm ready to go! I just read a book a little over a week ago that had a snowball fight in it if anyone is a romance reader...The Family You Make by Jill Shalvis. It was pretty good. I'm going to bed now but will work on my "game plan" and start slinging some snowballs soon!
Hey everyone - A Christmas Carol is actually a buddy read here on HOB (https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...) and it's short. We could get lots of points for it!

That's using your noggin!

Deanna hasn't checked in yet but she may not have seen that I assigned her a team. I will message her.
I could read A Christmas Carol. Is there a buddy read thread I have to participate in or do I just claim the extra points when I read it?
Christina T wrote: "I could read A Christmas Carol. This is a 10-pointer because it's run by a moderator! I'll be there too, and we need at least 4 comments from our group to claim our points.

I'll start A Christmas Carol during the week!Does anyone have planned books they're going to tackle that might work for an informal BR?

Mine are all up at message 27.
BTW we can ALL claim 10 points for the Christmas Carol buddy read, but we have to really comment and participate. Not just "I read the book." I'll start mine tomorrow!

I'm in for A Christmas Carol also. I've always wanted to read it. I will start it this week also. Going to get my books in order.

Perfect! I wasan't planning on starting Get a life until next week (after the 10th ish) anyway so I can work with whenever suits :)
I'll start The Leopard tomorrow! It's a big one so will need a few days to finish it
Aoife - our library has Get a Life, Chloe Brown so I will pick up tomorrow. When do you plan to start that?
I was going to leave it until next weekend but I could start it towards the end of this week? How long can you keep the books? :)
