Think about what makes a memory: colors, emotions, shapes and smells, etc. Think about where our attention is drawn when an experience is lived.

In recursion, Helena is able to artificially activate a memory in the brain, leading to a more intense experience, perhaps as intense as reliving the memory, than a recall.

What makes a memory, and how does it differ from the lived experience itself?
