SOLVED. YA Fantasy novel where there are five girls with superpowers and they fight against evil forces in Los Angeles

I read this book series around 2010. I think it might be set in the late 2000s because they had cellphones but not smartphones. One of the five girls are Jimena, who lives with her grandmother and they have crossed the border from Mexico. She has been into juvie and has a teardrop tattoo. Another girl is named Cat and she can disintegrate her molecules and becomes invisible. There's another girl who is secretly dating or have dated a devil that they're fighting against. This girl also plays cello. At one point in the series they find a sixth girl who also has super powers and they're taken aback because there's only supposed to be five of them. (I can't really remember one book from the other I'm sorry about this) What I remember is there are regular earthquakes in Los Angeles. Each book in the series is written from another girl's perspective but it's also progressive. There was also this kind of sentence regularly to explain why these girls have powers: "The last thing that came out of Pandora's box was hope"

Oh gosh okay while thinking about this I remembered the name. It's Daughters of the Moon by Lynne Ewing. I solved it myself somehow after forcing my brain for weeks.
