The book you like most discussion
What book did you buy/borrow recently that you are REALLY excited about?
I was the first to borrow from the local library Yumi and the Nightmare Painter by Brandon Sanderson, so it's moved to next up on my TBR.
I Will Teach You to be Rich by Ramit Sehti, borrowed from the local library. Very helpful in regards to personal finance.
the book that wouldn't burn by Mark Lawrence and a frugal wizatd's handbook for surviving medieval england by Brandon Sanderson
Starter Villian by John Scalzi, a cozy sci-fi that is SO well done. I believed in the sci-fi elements and the dialogue was fabulous.
A book I bought recently and am excited about is Love Redesigned by Lauren Asher. It was my most recent book purchase. Technically Iron Flame aswell, I pre-ordered it but it will arrive at the end of November so it's my future book purchase I guess ;)
Enjoying The Olympian Affair, which is the second in the Cinder Spire series.I don't usually like books like this, but it's really good.
On Grief and Grieving by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross and David Kessler. Not sure I would call it exciting but I found it an excellent read on many aspects of grieving the loss of a loved one or close friend - it worked for me.

My boss let me borrow Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and I was sooooo excited. I finished Part I, and it's living up to the hype for me.
Who Goes There? by John Campbell I've been obsessed with the movie inspired by it made in 1982 and am currently in love with everything about this concept. Even if the book is different from the movie I still think I will find enjoyment in reading it.
Mister Magic by Kiersten White.I finished it a couple weeks ago and it's still with me in the best way possible.
The plot itself isn't that remarkable- childhood cast members of a creepy kids show reconnect as adults to resolve some issues- but the issue behind it is.
I'm a recovering fundamentalist and the plot of Mister Magic directly addresses that in ways that I found to be very helpful.
Orinoco Womble (tidy bag and all) wrote: "Tosa Diary, really looking forward to reading it. In preparation I'm re-reading The Pillow Book."Sadly Tosa Diary was a huge letdown. Of course if I could read Japanese I'd get more out of it. The translation I had is no big deal. As a translator myself, the constant apologies for his work did not impress. I wish I could find a more modern one.

Just got the memoir "My Effin' Life" by Geddy Lee. I am listening to the audio and it is fantastic, Geddy is narrating it himself. Already laughed a lot and cried too (his parents were Holocaust survivors). Just getting into the early days of Rush (Canadian prog rock band) and it's great. He's released a couple of songs that weren't on his solo album from the 90's and they are at the end of the audio. Enjoying this so much!

I just got it starts with us. I'm a bit late to the Collen hoover trend but I tried it ends with us and absolutely loved it. I've become a bit of a romance novel fanatic and eat them up.
I listened to Against The Loveless World by Susan Abulhawa and was deeply moved. I had to by it to have a physical copy. Epic, personal, an important perspective to study.
Peter wrote: "Just bought The Extraordinary Adventures Of Arsène Lupin, Gentleman-Burglar by Maurice Leblanc for Kindle - based on one of my Goodread friends wanting to read it. I love the Netflix series but I e..."I hope the books are better in English than French. I listened to L'Aguille Creuse and it went on and on and on and onnnnn.
I bought The Year of the Locust by Terry Hayes
I read The Pilgrim twice so I'm looking forward to reading his new book - a special gift from myself to me for the holidays ;-).
Whalefall, by Daniel Kraus, I recently checked out at my library. I was so excited to read it, mainly from the cover picture, tbh. It was a great story. Just don't read it if you're claustrophobic! I want another book to follow the characters in this one!
Sara wrote: "I just bought Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros! It has great reviews and it seems like a book that I'll love. Hopefully it will be a 5 star read for me. 🤞"The series is amazing. When you read "Iron Flame" just get ready! It's a wild ride and will make you anxious for the next book in the series!
