Ursula must still be on a high after her visit last night to the Village Halloween Parade in NYC!
That is a 5,6 for my last 2 rolls, so I will be looking for another book off someone else's Board in addition to the one I landed on.
I finished mine today (still need to write/post the review, I know). But I'd like a new roll, please (1 die).
I am ready for another roll, please! (1)My extra book for my 5,6 roll was D-Day Girls by Sarah Rose, which I found on JoAnne's clerk board.
Theresa, you seem to have changed the name of the challenge, it was Stash, right, not TBR? More alliterative. However, we all know what is meant.

@LibraryCin - I do not find a review posted. Once you have posted your review, you need to request again a roll. No more rolls are happening today.
All - Rachel N will be back and providing the rolls from Ursula tomorrow, Friday, November 3, 2023. I've got meetings all afternoon near the Flatiron Building. I'll be back on Saturday and Sunday - and Anita returns on Monday Nov. 6th!
@Robin - I kept meaning to check and correct to what Anita used - and it was 'shelf' not TBR. I have corrected it.

@Theresa - Can I get a roll too please? My request is in message 8 above. 😄

Oops, I was wrong too!
Joanne wrote: "@Sue, I rolled for you so you would not have to wait6"
Thank you, JoAnne and so sorry Sue! I swear I read through those emails 3 or 4 times and somehow my eye just kept sliding over yours.
I blame Ursula.
Joanne wrote: "Everybody blaming Ursula-Good way to tick her off, don't ya think?🤔"But I'm not seeking a roll in the near future - probably not for weeks. Or rolling tomorrow. And you have to admit she's been giving really good rolls during my tenure, oui?

Sorry, didn't know the review had to be posted first. Busy week, probably won't get that done till the weekend.
I am ready for another roll, please! (1)Note: My last 2 rolls were 5,6 (again), so in addition to the book I landed on, I read Where the Desert Meets the Sea off Cheryl's Clerk Board.

Seems like Ursula is a bit upset Theresa has taken today off but she will return tomorrow.
JoAnne, With this roll, I am using a tag-related benefit to move forward 2 spaces, putting me on space 66.
Aw, I'm so touched! Ursula missed me! 🤗I will be back tomorrow! My work day started 11 hours ago ... and just ended. I'm looking forward to rolling dice this weekend!

A three is fine with me. Colin Firth is narrating this book.
Starting my Subdue Book! Once We Were Home by Jennifer Rosner, #84 on my Porter Board. Also starting Priory of the Orange Tree. My husband took one look at that chunkster and cackled like a deranged witch. He was like what on earth is that?! He predicts a no go on that one. We shall see.

I plan to visit with Ursula around 3:30 - 4 PM today. I may have Mondel Chocolates in hand when I do,

🤣🤣🤣 Excellent!

Clearly Ursula is happy at my return - or maybe it was the molten lava chocolate cake with strawberry sauce from The Ellington NYC I brought with me as an apology for putting work first yesterday. Equally clearly she was not impressed with Pam's wit. 😅
I will not be back until tomorrow.
My last 2 rolls totaled 7, which means I am able to read a book before or after where I land. I am on space 71 and move forward from there, but will read the book on space 72.
Theresa wrote: "Equally clearly she was not impressed with Pam's wit."😂 I don’t know though, I was actually pulling for a 3

Then you too benefited from a mellow Ursula!
LibraryCin wrote: "Oooh, thank you! That 6 gives me a 4-6 surprise advantage. :-)"
Cindy - lucky you!
Today is Lawyer Appreciation Day so your special advantage is: add up the digits of the day I learned I passed the New York Bar Exam and move that number of spaces instead of a roll. I heard I passed on Friday the 13th of December, 1985. 1+3+1+2+1+9+8+5=30, so you move 30 spaces after reading and reviewing a Subdue book instead of a roll. You can use any time. Show on your tracking!
Fridays the 13th are good luck days for me. ☺ You can see why! 😉
Ursula is being such a sweetheart today!

Wow, thanks, Theresa! I hope I can actually use it! It's getting close to the end of the year. I will go mark it on my board and hope I get to at least two more Subdue reads!
Shake It Up SundayAnd Ursula picked Pam!. Clearly her new moniker is not sitting well - she must have finally read Harry Potter.
When you finish your current Subdue read, you will move back 5 spaces, read that one, then ask for a roll to move foward from that space.

If you roll:
1-1: The current leader must move back 3 spaces on their game board and read the book where they have landed next.
Any combination totaling 7: You move 7 spaces and stay on that space, but you may read the book you land on OR one book forward or one book back - - your choice.
6-6: Don't like the book you will land on? You may roll again.
3-1: You get to take pick someone's next move on the board. The admins will use random.org to decide who will be moved. You get to decide which book they must move to next on their game board - - backward or forward -- within a 15 book radius. So you can move your opponent up to 15 spaces back or up to 15 spaces forward to the book of your choosing. Should you be reluctant to move another player ,or if you do not respond to an administrator's request to designate the move, random.org will move the player - odd rolls will move the player backward and even rolls will move the player forward.
2-1: You may use up to 3 of your participation points to move yourself ahead up to 3 spaces.
6-5: You must read a book that's on someone else's board and NOT on your own before you may roll again. (extra note here: you may read the book you land on first and then read the other person's book, or vice-versa. So two books must be completed before you re-roll).
4-4: Receive 4 participation points for the next book you read/review.
2-3 Get an extra "swap" that you may use anytime during the game.
6-4 Earn a surprise advantage to use anytime during the game
Also, on any mega-dice rolls at the very end of a board that could provide substantially more moves than needed to roll off, the player must:
1. Seek preapproval (before asking for roll) to split the rolls between the old and new boards. Without that pre-approval, the rolls are strictly applied to rolling off your old board only.
2. The player's new board must be posted, locked, and have had its screen shot before asking for approval of Train Management to split the mega roll.
REMINDER: NO rolls may be requested for a new board until the player has uploaded the full new board and notified Train Management that it is uploaded, locked, and ready for its screen shot. This is not a new rule.
