I would definitely recommend reading it if you have an interest in modern philosophy or just modern literature in general as there is a lot to think about and discuss when it comes to the plot, character, literary devices used etc. It is also a really friendly introduction to some of Camus' philosophy that might otherwise be a bit confusing.

If you are looking for a fun read, I'm afraid you won't find it here (in my humble opinion lol). You are following a character that doesn't really care about what's going on in his life and to those around him for the majority of the book, so I think it's really dull in places (the book does reward you for sticking around though). If you end up reading it, I would definitely recommend reading about it afterwards!
