Blu | 1 comments In the early to mid-'80s, I had an old book that was falling apart and I can't remember the name of it. It was sort of like a self-help book where the male author was explaining the secret to life which was to avoid the mindsets of modern society that lead us towards death and personal destruction every day, including war, the war machine and war mentality, anger, animosity, etc.

The physical book was about 7" wide by about 8 or 9" high and probably only had 100-150 pages or less, so not a very big book. I can't remember what year it was from but I do think it talked about the Vietnam War, so it must have been written around then, but maybe it only talked about war in general. It may have been written much earlier.

The copy I had was already falling apart and I kept it in a baggie. When a dear friend of mine's sister was diagnosed with leukemia, I gave it to her as an inspiration to keep fighting (for her life), but we've lost contact long ago, so no way to reconnect to ask for the title.

I almost think it was called something like "The Secret" (or "The Truth") but if I try to search the only thing that turns up is the more modern 2006 version. That's not what I'm looking for.

Sorry, I can't remember more right now.

Thank you!
