Issues with Jane Austen's "Sanditon" [FIXED]

Jane Austen died before she could finish Sanditon; it's a fragment of 11 chapters.

Three different authors (Marie Dobbs, "Another Lady" [Anne Telscombe:] and Juliette Shapiro) have written completions of the story.

I discovered today that all versions of Sanditon, including all three continuations, have been combined. (http://www.goodreads.com/work/edition...)

I think they should be separated and recombined, but before I dive in there and work my way through that task, I thought I'd clear it with the group. It would be my first major effort as a librarian. :)

I would think we'd want to list all 3 completions separately, since the text is different. Anyone else?

Absolutely (though I realize I wasn't clear about that above).

Yes, I agree. Each batch should have a librarian's note for each secondary author to not be combined with each other so that they don't get recombined.

Right, I've done it now. What a performance! OTOH, I learned a lot. OK, and enjoyed picking apart the knot. :)
