How to handle religions texts and Anonymous

TLDR : Should books like this use the Anonymous author tag since they are technically religious texts and the people often cited as authors are translators in many cases or should they use the lead translator/often cited author if there is one (as in this case) for practicality?

Explanation:

In order to properly edit this work I had to make the lead translator the author after having changed it previously to Anonymous.

The reason being is the Anonymous author tag has so many works attributed that it makes it too hard to do combinations and mergers of titles even with the work IDs.

As some just stop showing up in searches when being separated in preparation for a merger. This requires a lot of digging through other tagged contributors to find the missing titles.

Is it worth the hassle to follow the manual or is the manual I need of edition for these cases or am I just thinking too hard?

The decision here would also affect the editing of this title "Gospel of Luke and Ephesians: First Nations Version"
