While we're waiting to get cranked up for the reads in April, why doesn't everyone tell us about what you're reading right now.

I'm reading Welcome to Braggsville by T. Geronimo Johnson and it's kind of trippy. I often find myself not getting it. It's a great story but it is written in such a strange style. It's a mix of stream of consciousness and rambling and local langugage, a lot of which I don't get. But it's good. It's sad and it's a satire of a lot of things.

Amy Hoff | 1 comments just started Killing Kennedy by Bill O'Reilly...not really my type of reading normally, but it came highly recommended and we had a copy at work, so...

kathy (kpplus3) I've reading All The Light We Cannot See for my bookclub. Just finished The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian and Less Than Zero which I used as books for the Book Riot.

I wanted to read All the Light We Cannot See and then I accidentally read a spoiler and it's been ruined. I hope it's good. I've heard wonderful things.

I've read other things by Sherman Alexie but I haven't read Absolutely True Diary. How was it?

I'm still working on the books for this month but I also picked up Bad Feminist: Essays and am loving it! Smart, funny, thoughtful. The essay on competitive Scrabble made my day. =)

Kelly | 7 comments Right now, I'm reading The Luminaries but it's taking awhile because I just haven't gotten into it. I only have a few hundred pages left though, so I'm almost done!

I'm also reading Ready Player One with my older son at his bedtime every night. I'm really enjoying it, and it's been super hard not to read ahead without him!

I'm also reading Parenting Your Asperger Child: Individualized Solutions for Teaching Your Child Practical Skills for my son, to work on new strategies to help him at school.

As soon as I finish the Luminaries, I'm going to start on the April books!

I want to read The Royal We by Heather Cocks for the romance novel. It just sounds fun.

Kelly | 7 comments I got the sample to check it out. I had the thought that maybe kindle books seem more expensive because the ones we've been looking at recently are all new releases?

What do you know about The Girl on the Train? People seem to really like it, but if you look it up on Amazon, the page is all about how it's the best thing since Gone Girl, which makes me less interested.

The Girl on the Train looks kind of *meh* to me. I'm going to pass on it. Too many other things that I want to read.

And yeah, the new release thing is a problem with price but even backlist stuff seems on sale a whole lost less than before.

I just started The Walls Around Us and I really like it so far. Very dark and kind of ghost story like but not at the same time. I might put this one as my guilty pleasure just because I have no other reason for reading it other than it just sounded good.

I also just started listening to Red Queen on audio. I'm a little spoiled because the reader of Queen of the Tearling was SOOOOO good. This girl isn't as good but the story is still intriguing. I'm not far enough in to tell you how I feel about it yet.

I decided I need to keep one "classic" or "award winning" book going (I'm not even sure I know what that means) and I needed a translation for the Read Harder Challenge so I picked up Anna Karenina. It's gonna take me a while. It's a big ass book!

I am also listening to Red Queen on audio and it's a good, fun, fantasy read. It's not mind blowing. It's not knocking my socks off, but it's a fun book. The main character is a little whiny and stubborn but everyone needs faults to be interesting, right? Anyway, I like it and I keep sitting in my driveway listening to it so there must be something compelling about it.

I just finished Red Queen and while I enjoyed it enough to finish it, it's not my cup of tea. I wanted to love it. It has a great cover, but I didn't. I don't think I will bother to read the rest of the series, whenever it comes out.

Started The Royal We on audio and I already love it. Super fun.

I am also reading Americanah on my kindle. It's very interesting. Really enjoying it so far.

Barbara (ballenalvin) | 8 comments Y'all are all reading big girl books. I'm reading YA. I just read An Ember in the Ashes. Amazing book. Can't wait for the second one.

I have been on a bit of a "big girl" book kick of late but I need and love the YA as much as anyone. I think we should have a YA in the list every month!

I heard Ember in the Ashes was good. The Wrath and the Dawn looks amazing. And I'm totally intrigued by the Dorothy Must Die series. All the Rage has been getting a lot of buzz. It's supposed to be pretty brutal.

For the record, you should all get The Royal We. I am loving it. But then, I'm a royal family nerd so this works for me. I normally don't go for romances but this one is just how I like them. Sweet, smart, funny, awkward, and not toooo sexy.

Once I finish The Royal We on Audio I am switching gears completely to read Missoula: Rape and the Justice System in a College Town I've been hearing all kinds of buzz on this one. I also haven't hit the non fiction in a while.

One other note. Americanah is so good. Seeing our world and America specifically through the eyes of a foreigner is the real prize here. The observations on education alone are worth the book price. It's easy to read, very accessible, and teaches you to adjust your perspective. I am loving it more than I thought I would.
