This book was really unique. I don't think I have ever read a regency romance-cozy fantasy-mystery.
I don't know why it took me forever to finish. I liked the premise and the characters - especially Dora. She was positively weird with her half a soul that made her unable to experience and express true feelings, for example fear or joy. She was not bothered by society rules and just acted upon her better judgement.
Really cute book and if you enjoy slower pace cozy read, I recommend give it a try.

Review:
I kept waiting for something to happen , a plot or some interesting character. Alas this book had none of these. Cath the MC is so boring. I really didn’t care for her at all. Cath is fanfiction writer. I think this could have been interesting but alas this book just bored me. I pushed my self to read the 483 pages!!!! I maybe was too generous with my 2 stars, maybe it should be one. I really only finished this book for this challenge I maybe should have stopped reading, but I was on vacation and didn’t have time to find another book!! This book was rated 3.93 ?????

Review- So awesome!
I don't usually read books that are what the masses love. I don't know something within me always balks at reading them. This book makes me want to start reading books that everyone is reading or has read! Everything about this book was just so good! The main character was very well written and so were the other main male characters! This book was written in a way that you do not know Who is the assassin and who is the prince. Everything that the main character goes through makes her a BA! Definitely.
Moving on to the second book in this series! I am excited to see where this story goes!

Hailey Edwards writes complicated and diverse characters. Just plain witches and vampires are not enough. Sometimes it makes refreshing and interesting read - her Beginners Guide to Necromancy is one of my favorite UF series - but this time she might have overcooked it for my taste. There were characters with so distinct magic and species that I got confused what is going on and who is what.
Maybe that is the reason I didn't connect with main character Frankie. Some of the supporting cast members were much more interesting.
Not my favorite Hailey Edwards book.

So good. All the feels , angst, secrets and forbidden relationship, this was not the typical student professor romance. Kara and Max were most certainly not the typical student and teacher.
They were doomed from the beginning but still not able to let each other go.
Maybe there was more lust than love between them but I didn't care, I ate it up. The impossible situation they were in was just so much drama and I need to know what is going to happen to them.
Will there be war between gods and demons in Beverly Hills ?

This book was really good. I have not read a book like it! The story line Is completely different from any book i've ever read before. I'm excited to read book numb 2 in the series! The king is a jerk to epic proportions! He is absolutely vile! I'm looking forward to seeing where this story goes with him in particular.

Review:
This is a new book by Blake Pierce. The MC has a bunch of issues. She a FBI agent who has visions which causes her to have headaches and she is an alcoholic. This is the first MC that has issues that I have read by Blake Pierce. I really like this , it is nice to not have a perfect FBI agent. I will definitely read the next book in the series to see how this evolves.

I was truly taken from the first book in series and eagerly took the opportunity to continue. Well, it was not a fine literature by any means but it was addictive.
Sadly, the second book was a big let down. There was no character development, the endless inner monologues with love declarations got boring and I felt like it's going nowhere.
Finally at the very ending we got some action and excitement to the story, so maybe I'm picking up the next one to see how it ends.

Review:
I am definitely in the minority here, Goodreads rating of 4.6? Every time I read a book from this series , I try to figure out why I don’t like this series.They are not bad but I find myself forcing myself to finish them. I figured it out! Kate ! I keep comparing her to Mercy Thompson, the series by Patricia Briggs. Mercy is strong and loving partner to Adam. Kate appears, to me , to be very subservient
to Curran. She has her moments of strength but overall she seems weaker to me. I also like Patricia Briggs writing much better. I had read all of Mercy Thompson except for the newest one and it is on my list. I need to leave this series….

Review:
This book was just okay. I liked the idea of the linking minds, it was very intriguing. I just got lost in all of the action and fighting scenes. I feel that also it had too many characters and it was a bit confusing trying to sort them out. I also feel it was a bit too long. I did like the plot idea , makes you think. I would still reccomend this book because it is thought provoking.
Congrats to Team 11 and it was pleasure to play with you both!We did very good but luck just wasn't on our side with calls this time. See you next round!
