Was it hard to get approved ? also did you link your account to amazon by any chance (sorry for all the questions)

Hi Megan.It's easier than you think. Don't apply for too many books at once or you might just end up with too many books.
I only have my Goodreads account and a LinkedIn account linked and I get approved for most of the books I apply for.
I make sure I keep my feedback ratio at 80%.
Start with books that are read now or listen now, they are automatic approvals and will help with your ratio. Try to keep your ratio as high as possible, they recommend 80%. If you get denied for a book, don't be discouraged. It can be for many different reasons, it could be you but it could also be that they have already reached the limit for your demographic. Some publishers are notorious for denying pretty much everyone, as well. I googled what to put in my bio and that has really helped with approvals. I've been with NetGalley for over a year, so if you have any more questions I'd be glad to help :)I linked my goodreads and Amazon, once a book publishes there is a tab for reviews that they would like posted to retail sites. Linking your amazon makes it easy to share to amazon. It automatically copies the review and brings you to the review page.
I only have options link Goodreads and LinkedIn. How did you link your Amazon?
Hey Tracey :) Yeah I'm pretty cautious not to get overwhelmed. I'm reading the TOG series atm, so I don't think I'll apply for any until I've finished that. But wanted to get a lay of the land.
That's good because I only really use Goodreads and amazon.

How did you link your amazon ?
Once you have finished a book it will give you the option to give feedback. You can wait a day or two to give feedback. As soon as you have given your feedback, your ratio increases.
So it's the amount of books recevied to reviews submitted.
At this point I have 15 approved, 13 feedback sent and leaves me at 87%.

It just brings me to the review page and since I'm already signed into amazon on my computer, it's ready for me. I'm assuming since it brings you to the page, they will get a copy of the link. When you review you are supposed to say that you received a free copy in exchange for an honest review, but I have noticed amazon will not post the review if those words are in it.
I did try but also couldnt see a way to do it. Awesome I'll keep that in mind, thats weird for amazon not to post reviews like that. strange 🤔
Hi where can I find where and when can I post my review of the book? I reviewed on netgalley is at the same time as my review on goodreads, tiktok, insta and my fb. I haven't read anything about when to post on social media. I'm new to netgalley😅. I just started this October

I'd follow NetGalley on twitter and tiktok as they post about this sometimes.

Oh... thats why.. That's why I saw something written on netgalley that said come back again. I don't remember the exact sentence.

You can post your Netgalley reviews when you are ready but post on your social media around the launch. When you join Netgalley you download the 'Netgalley's Book Advocate Toolkit', everything you need will be in it.
