I used this prompt to finally read The Old Man and the Sea which takes place in the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic ocean.

“Thunder Over the Reefs” by Paula Minton says on the cover that it is a Gothic novel and the cover looks like a romance novel. It is neither. This is actually a good book about Hawaii after Pearl Harbor and its statehood. It deals with the racial prejudices during that time and the fight for equality of all.
Read the novelization of the live action Disney Little Mermaid movie for this prompt, La Petite Sirène (Christophe Rosson)🧜♀️🧜🧜♂️As most of the movie's songs aren't included in the book, the story has more depth and more maturity to it. Enjoyed the read 🤗
I read A Sea-Chase by Roger McDonald as the book revolves around a group of friends with a love of sailing the waters off Sydney and the wider Pacific Ocean (Read May 18th; 3*)
Moonkiszt wrote: "One of my reads for this prompt is by Natalie Babbitt... who wrote this book after Tuck Everlasting. . . [book:The Eyes of the Amaryllis..."Thank you for this. I have Tuck Everlasting on my "Take to the Home" shelf for whenever that time comes. The Eyes of the Amaryllis sounds wonderful.
Have read a few that would fit this prompt - And the Ocean Was Our Sky by Patrick Ness (Moby Dick from a whale's perspective), Bonny & Read by Julie Walker and Saltblood by Francesca de Tores (women pirates - also good for similar plot books
For this prompt I wanted to read Moby Dick and Robinson Crusoe. This month I read Robinson Crusoe. So much in this novel to think about. It was a Great book. I'm glad I picked it first
I read Little Monsters by Adrienne Brodeur. It's set on the cape and the patriarch of the family is an oceanographer looking to make one last big discovery before his mind goes.
I read The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman. This is an excellent book. It's the first time I read anything by Mr. Gaiman. I would definitely read something by him again.
I read The Seaside Corpse, Book 4 of the Aggie Morton Mystery Queen middle grade series by Marthe Jocelyn. The entire story takes place along a beach in Lyme Regis in the county of Dorset in England, right along the English Channel.
I read Natural Selection by Elin Hilderbrand, the characters are on a chartered yacht in the Pacific Ocean as they sail around the Galapagos Islands.I originally intended to read A Night to Remember by Walter Lord but unfortunately it still sits on my TBR.
If you haven't read Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of the Lusitania by Erik Larson, I highly recommend it.
I nearly counted Life of Pi for this, I read it earlier this year but I decided to count it for Nominated for the Booker Prize promptand instead for this prompt I read Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea
Melissa wrote: "I read the Billionaire's Kiss by Coral Kingston. It takes place on a cruise ship."Plus the author's name is Coral, which is found in the ocean, so double match.
