Kelly (booklover70) | 107 comments “Thunder Over the Reefs” by Paula Minton says on the cover that it is a Gothic novel and the cover looks like a romance novel. It is neither. This is actually a good book about Hawaii after Pearl Harbor and its statehood. It deals with the racial prejudices during that time and the fight for equality of all.

As most of the movie's songs aren't included in the book, the story has more depth and more maturity to it. Enjoyed the read 🤗
