I recently finished The Housemaid by Freida McFadden. It has 61 chapters plus a prologue and an epilogue.
Just finished Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly for this prompt. I can't say it was a good read, just because it was based on true events that were not good. I will definitely read the other two books in this series though and would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading historical fiction
I will be reading "Here in the Real World" by Sara Pennypacker. It is a middle grade book and has 78 chapters.
I'm going for The 24th Hour by James Patterson - all of that series count because they start a new chapter every two or three pages, really do trick you into thinking it's a page turner!
We're reading The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton for the "more than 40 chapters" challenge.
One of those prompts that once you fill it, you run into all sorts of books that fit it. My pick was Litani by Jess Lourey (55 chapters) which I loved. Some others that fit and were good:
The Infinite Pieces of Us by Rebekah Crane (44)
Going There by Katie Couric (99)
Friends with Secrets by Christine Gunderson (63)
Secret Sisters by Jayne Ann Krentz (62)
I read The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy, by Rachel Joyce, for this prompt. The chapters were fairly short, but there were over 100 of them.
I read "Death and the Maiden" (The Liebermann Papers - televized as Vienna Blood - 6) by Frank Tallis for this prompt. More than 60 chapters. Enjoyed this book so much! Suspensfull detective set in pre world war 1 Vienna in the surroundings of the Opera House and the imperial court. The historical context and in depth character descriptions were a plus. One of the best books I've read this year.
I read Too Wicked to Kiss. A Gothic-light romance that was enjoyable but prob should have been shorter.
