Could have taken The Secret History for this one, but I'm saving that for "books with a similar plot" (along with Babel) - so I ran with The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches, by Sangu Mandanna. It's a cozy book, nothing revolutionary but a nice easy read.
I read The very Secret Society of Irregular Witches, by Sangu Mandanna for this prompt. It was lovely!
I read Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. I taught it in a course on banned books. Enjoyable read and great for undergrads. It sparked excellent discussion.
I read The Secret of Emu Field by Elizabeth Tynan. It’s about Britains atomic testing regime at Emu Field in the early 1950s. The book is scathing of the British and Australian governments of the day and the way they conducted the tests. I found it eerie. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
I read The Secret (Single in Seattle #1) by Kristen Proby !! It was a really great book...I gave it 5 stars :)
I finally chose "The Widow's Husband's Secret Lie: A Satirical Short Story" by Freida McFadden. It didn't disappoint.
