How to check if a book is in the database as deleted or invalid

Hi!

New librarian here!, so please be kind if I ask a dumb question :)

Is there any way to check if a book already exits in the database as "deleted" or "invalid" before trying to complete all the information in the database?

Sometimes I spend some time checking the book in amazon, publisher website, etc, to confirm that is a valid book and complete all the information, and when I am going to include the book I receive the error that the book already exists as a deleted or invalid version. Is there any way to check it before trying to include it in the database?

Also, if I find a deleted book, can I restore it to published if I think that should be in published or I need to check it somewhere before?

When you get the message saying that the book is already here in deleted status, you can simply click on that link and edit the book record back to public status.

If you want to check before fully adding the book, enter only the ISBN or ASIN. It won't add the book but will still give you the message, and you can follow as above.

If you suspect it has been marked invalid or deleted, you need to add the basics, such as isbn/asin, author, title.

If it has been marked, the red error box will appear, you click on the link, and complete the entry (some details are always missing) marking it valid.

There is no other way to check except to try to add it, but you don't need to add all the details, at first.

No other place to check if you're already sure it should be in the database.

No questions are dumb, if you don't know the answer. And this isn't written down anywhere as its a recently added glitch.
