Ah, that’s a good point, Helena. I wasn’t excited to read this, but requested it from the library anyway. I thought I would give it a try, but I feel like, while I enjoyed the movie, I won’t enjoy the book. (🤷♀️) If the movie is that close to the book, then I should be able to follow the discussion even if I don’t read it.
Who knows how long it will take to get in. My library can take a very long time!

My book is still “in transit”, but when I get it, I’ll give it a try. Enjoy, Mary Emma!
And of course, Ellie.😊

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist! 😜

Ok, I am putting this out there in hopes that none of you will ever meet him, and if you do, that you would never say I posted this.
But--I had a 1st grade student whose name was Twruu Love.
No kidding. And I know his mom loved him, too.🤷♀️

🤯 No way! That's crazy! And like, poor child....

Yes--for someone whose last name was Love, to name the poor kid Twruu🤦♀️
Thankfully, his classmates had never seen the movie, or at least, had not made the connection. However, I am sure that did not last long into his school career.

I got my book from the library, but I don't know if i will be able to make myself read it. 🫤 It is an old and yellowed, mass-market paperback that is going to start falling apart very soon. It was the only copy the entire system had!
So, I got a digital copy through Libby. I skimmed the prefaces and am in the first “real” chapter. Why am I reading about the author ogling a woman at the pool and lying to his wife?🤦🏽♀️ I will give it one more train ride. If I am still not happy by the time I get home, I am dnf’ing.
Are you excited about this read? Are you enjoying the story? A certain character? Are you confused by anything?
